High Winds At Juanita Bay

Juanita Bay Park sits on the opposite side of Market Street Hill from downtown Kirkland. This space serves as one of Kirklands biggest parks, featuring a large lake-based swimming area, a long horseshoe shaped dock, boat rentals, restrooms and a modern playground for kids.

During the transition from cold winter weather to the warmer skies of spring, Lake Washington can get quite rough, casting geniune waves onto its shores. The sound is audible from the nearby neigborhoods, resembling that of the not-so-far away seas.
